Dirt Racing for Jesus (DRJ) is a dirt track racing ministry that originated in February 2007 in Bladen County. Our goal is to RACE in spreading the
gospel and offer support at the dirt tracks in both NC and SC. DRJ is a
outreach ministry sponsored by the Bladen Baptist Association in Elizabethtown under the direction of Rev. Bruce Cannon (Director). Currently, the team consists
of members from three churches within the association (Richardson Baptist Church, Grace Baptist Church, and Butters Baptist Church).

The concept for DRJ came from a seed that was planted by legendary Hall of
Fame Driver MIKE DUVALL, “THE FAMOUS FLINTONE FLYER”. After
listening to Mike pray at Dublin Motor Speedway, it was my goal to meet Mike and talk with him. The Lord blessed me with this opportunity in October 2006 when
Mike visited Richardson Baptist Church for our Homecoming Service and presented the message. We talked during the day and I mentioned the idea of DRJ to Mike….he told me this, “Brother, pray about it and follow your heart. Let the
Lord lead you.” I followed the advice and DRJ originated in February 2007. The
Lord has blessed us and we are continuing to follow his lead. If you have not

We have visited Dublin Motor Speedway, Carolina Speedway in Lake View SC, Hammerdown Speedway in Red Springs, County Line Raceway in Elm City, and Clary’s Speedway in Brinkleyville. In 2006, we visited Fayetteville Motor Speedway
several times and hope to visit more in 2009. We distribute bibles, pocket crosses, bible bookmarks, gospel tracts, prayer stones, pens, gifts for kids, candy and much more……..ALL FREE, JUST LIKE JESUS!

We also attend church fun days, town festivals, parades, youth events, and speak
